I am a wedding DJ based in Madison, Wisconsin.  I have performed at over 650 wedding receptions (ranging from intimate gatherings of 50 people to large parties of 500 guests) in the past 32 years all over Wisconsin (Madison, Milwaukee, Janesville, Middleton, Waunakee, DeForest, Windsor, Verona, Lake Mills, Barneveld, Beloit, Sun Prairie, Wisconsin Dells, Platteville, Barneveld, Dodgeville, Deerfield, Pewaukee, Prairie du Chien, Green Bay) and Northern Illinois (Rockford, Rockton, Freeport, Arlington Heights).  I use a wedding planner that couples fill out to tell me exactly what music and events they want (and do not want) during their wedding reception.  I guarantee the bride and groom that their wedding reception will be the way they want it.  I also perform at holiday parties, birthday parties, anniversary parties, class reunions, company functions, and other events.  I use a specialized planner for those events as well so my clients can tell me exactly what they want to happen during their events.

My equipment includes Mackie 350 speakers which are some of the best DJ speakers available because each speaker plays in stereo by itself.  I use a Shure wireless microphone for my emcee work that you are welcome to use for your toasts and other announcements.  My lighting system is simple so it does not annoy your guests (no strobe lights or fog machine) while providing ambiance for the dance floor.  I do not have a sign or any other type of advertising that could show up in the background of your wedding pictures.  You do not want your pictures at your wedding reception to have advertising for a DJ company in the background.

Unlike other DJs, I charge one flat fee for a performance and do not require a down payment in advance.  Other DJs demand a deposit ranging from $100 to $500 just to book a show with them (some require full payment even before a show), and then they charge a flat rate (usually $800-$1,000 or more) for a standard four-hour show and then add a per-hour rate of usually another $100 to $150 per hour.  Why should you have to pay money up front?  Why should you have to pay for extra time if you decide that you want your party to go on longer because everyone is having fun?  My price is the same for a four-hour show as it is for an eight-hour show.  How can I afford to do that?  I do not use paid advertising so I can pass along that savings to my customers.

Any couple who had a wedding ceremony and/or reception booked with me during the COVID-19 pandemic and had to postpone or cancel did not lose any money to me because I do not charge a deposit.  Many couples were not given back deposits of hundreds of dollars that they had paid to a wedding DJ who ended up doing no work for them at all.  Do not put yourself in that same situation.
