I am a wedding DJ based in Madison, Wisconsin.  I have performed at over 650 wedding receptions (ranging from 50 to 500 guests) in the past 33 years all over Wisconsin (Madison, Wisconsin Dells, Milwaukee, Janesville, Middleton, Waunakee, Windsor, Verona, Barneveld, Sun Prairie, Columbus, Dodgeville).  Not many DJs in Wisconsin have the experience I do performing at wedding ceremonies and receptions.

I use a wedding-planning document that couples fill out to tell me exactly what music and events they want (and do not want) during their wedding reception.  I also perform at holiday parties, birthday parties, anniversary parties, class reunions, company functions, and other events.  I use a specialized event planner for those events as well so my clients can tell me exactly what they want to happen during their events.

Unlike other DJs, I charge one flat fee and do not require a down payment in advance.  Other DJs demand a deposit ranging from $100 to $500 just to hire them (some require full payment before the event).  Then they charge a rate (usually $800-$1,000 or more) for a standard four-hour show and then add a per-hour rate of usually another $100 to $150.  Why should you have to pay any money to a DJ before your wedding day?  My price is the same for four hours as it is eight hours - and my price quote is usually the lowest one when compared with those from other DJ companies - often by hundreds of dollars.  I call myself an inexpensive wedding DJ, not cheap, because my price is lower than nearly all the other wedding DJ companies.

My DJ equipment includes Mackie 350 speakers, which are some of the best speakers available because each speaker plays in stereo by itself.  I use a Shure wireless microphone for my emcee work that you are welcome to use for wedding toasts and other announcements.  My lighting system is simple so it does not annoy your guests (no strobe lights or fog machine) while providing ambiance for the dance floor.  I do not have a sign or any other type of advertising that could show up in the background of your wedding pictures.  You can see pictures of my DJ equipment on the "Pictures" tab of this website.

I dress formally and play music at a volume that is never too loud.  Your guests should be able to easily hear each other and not have to talk louder or shout because the music is too loud.
